Robin McLay

Robin McLay

Chief Executive Officer

Robin McLay is President and CEO of Global Nexus Education, where he leads a team that provides high-level, evidence-based educational advisory services to clients around the world. Grounded in rigorous research and data-driven practice, Global Nexus helps students and their families make informed choices about academic pathways, admissions strategy, and fit. The firm’s work spans educational advising and leadership training, with outcomes that meet or exceed benchmarks across the educational advising industry; many Global Nexus advisees have gone on to leading universities in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. The team is guided by some of the strongest ethical standards in the field, prioritizing integrity, transparency, and student well-being.

McLay’s career bridges higher education, public policy, and philanthropy. He has held senior roles at Harvard University (Executive Director of the Harvard University Native American Program; research associate with the Harvard Project on Indigenous Governance and Development), Global Affairs Canada (Executive Director for Democratic Institutions; head of policy research), the Mastercard Foundation (Head of Research and Strategy), and Fulbright (Regional Director for Fulbright Canada West; director of Fulbright Canada’s Entrepreneurship Initiative). He has also led and advised policy research think tanks across the Global South, including service as a Senior Fellow with the African Center for Economic Transformation and support to the Nairobi-based Partnership for Economic Policy. Earlier work includes executive leadership at McGill University’s Institute for the Study of International Development and senior public-sector roles in social innovation and social finance.

At Global Nexus Education, McLay brings this cross-sector perspective to bear on student advising, institutional partnerships, and program design. He and his team translate lessons from universities, governments, and major philanthropies into practical strategies for families and schools—pairing individualized guidance with a strategic view of admissions trends, academic planning, and post-secondary success.

McLay earned a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University’s Kennedy School as a Fulbright Scholar and Government of Canada SSHRC Science Policy Scholar, a Master of Science from the London School of Economics, and a Bachelor of Arts (High Distinction) from McGill University.

Peter Zhang

Peter Zhang

Chief Technical Officer

Mr. Zhang graduated with a master's degree of Computer Science from University of Utah. His background in computer science, software development, computer graphics, and human computer interaction will allow him to direct the software development and user experience design at Global Nexus. His undergraduate and graduate education in computer science has allowed him to understand and experience most of the software development stack. His experience in the software development industry has allowed him to work closely with design teams and communicate across multiple discipline to implement software features, and participate in project management.

Justin Miletti

Justin Miletti brings a distinguished academic and professional background shaped by his education at Harvard University and his tenure as a Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative (CSRI). At Harvard, he honed expertise at the intersection of business, social impact, and governance, skills he later applied globally. Earlier in his career, Justin worked extensively across Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Macau, where he advised and supported countless families in optimizing educational strategies and successfully positioning their children for admission to top-tier universities, including the Ivy League. This unique blend of elite academic grounding and hands-on international experience reflects his ability to navigate both global policy contexts and the aspirations of individual families with equal depth and rigor.

Patrick Brennan is an education advisor and executive who has guided students from around the world to admission at top universities in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. His practice is anchored in ethics and a client-centred approach - prioritizing each learner’s goals, wellbeing, and informed decision-making. Beyond admissions, he has supported hundreds of students in successfully transitioning from post-secondary studies into full-time employment, providing tailored coaching on career strategy, professional skills, and workplace readiness.

Bill Myles

Bill Myles

Educational Advisor

Bill Myles is a Master of Education teacher specializing in the instruction of History, English as a Second Language (ESL) & Special Education. He is skilled and experienced in the development of educational plans that meet the auditory, visual, tactile needs of all students, and has worked successfully in a variety of instructional settings including program development for the general British Columbia  high school curriculum. Mr. Myles has been a high performing academic leader for 40 years in a variety of educational and administrative roles. Bill has been responsible for the development of many new and innovative educational programs in a variety of multi-cultural contexts. Proven track record in: curriculum development; English language tutoring; peer tutoring; leadership training;  goal setting; technology enactment; developing multi-disciplinary programs that are aligned to educational strategies and advanced learning. Currently, Mr. Myles is President of W C Myles Educational Services which provides multiple services for senior high school and university students  who require educational mentoring. Working closely with the student and family, individual educational goals are developed and implemented according to the desired  educational objective. Services include : University and Graduate school admission guidance and application assistance; SAT and ACT support; ILETS and TOEFL facilitation; Individual Educational Tutorial Services or small group instruction via online platforms; individualized university site visits which have included Cornell, Columbia, NYU where prospective students are introduced to faculty and attend classes in their desired area of study; continual educational mentoring and assistance as necessary. Mr. Myles holds a Master of Education from McGill University and a Bachelor of Education from University of Victoria.

Scott Tait is a trusted advisor to students, families, and early-career professionals. An experienced profession who has earned a strong reputation for providing strategic advice and navigating complex transitions using evidence informed approaches and leadership development coaching. Drawing on years of coaching and mentoring, he builds individualized roadmaps, connects learners to the right mentors and networks, and equips them with decision-making skills that last well beyond admission offers. His style blends strategic foresight with practical guidance that has helped hundreds succeed in competitive academic and career pathways. Educated at the University of Michigan (B.A.), Stanford University (M.A., International Policy, Economics concentration), and Columbia University (Executive Certificate in Venture Capital, Private Equity, and M&A), he combines policy depth with market fluency and an operator’s eye for outcomes. An adaptive leader across the public and private sectors, he has served as CEO of Pacific Science & Engineering—guiding a team of cognitive scientists, human-factors engineers, and designers through a transition to employee ownership while delivering strong revenue growth—and as COO/Director of Strategic Initiatives at Startup Science, where he leverages AI/ML and SaaS to boost founder success. He also founded UC San Diego’s National Security Innovation Catalyst, growing a network of 8,000+ partners and helping raise more than $400M for dual-use and national-security ventures. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles in national security and international affairs.

Georgia enjoys helping leaders accomplish ambitious goals, especially those that require collaboration across cultures. She has supported young women social entrepreneurs in Ghana increase their profitability and impact through resource development and workshops. She was a project manager for a venture philanthropist where she supported an UNESCO Artist for Peace work with Indigenous populations in Latin America to build sustainable communities. She co-founded a non-profit that tested and promoted technology to help athletes around the world better understand their mental fitness so they can optimize their athletic performance, athletic experience, and overall quality of life. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Government (international relations, gender studies) from Dartmouth College, where she was a two-sport NCAA Division 1 athlete (basketball and rowing).

Media and Marketing Director

Mr. Wu has 20 years' experience in and related to the media field. He has worked as the director managing brand-name large scale culture/entertainment complex for more than 5 years. Projects he managed include China's entertainment district---Shanghai Dream Center and Lego Theme park, etc. While he was in charge of these projects, he gained valuable experience in IP negotiations and project management from world's leading brand names and he met with culture leaders from all over the world including culture leaders from Montreal and Victoria, Canada.

Ms. Song has more than 20 years' experience in educational field both as a teacher and as a senior manager of education business. She graduated with a master's degree of Business Administration. She has been a Founder and Principal at Sunny Rainbow Education School since 2000, and Associate Professor at Shenyang Institute of Engineering since 1996. Her background in both education field and business administration will greatly help the business development of Global Nexus.

Liang Cheng

Legal Director

Mr. Cheng have more than 20 years' experience as a lawyer. He has been serving as Senior Partner specializing in civil and commercial law at Chongqing Kangshi Law Firm, and from 2013 to 2020 concurrently held the role of Managing Partner. He graduated from Southwest University of Political Science and Law (SWUPL) China with a bachelor's degree of law and On-the-job postgraduate degree in civil and commercial law. His education and work experience will greatly contribute to the theme and content development of Global Nexus's signature competitions "the Negotiator" and its online workshop and certification programs. His background and experience in Law will greatly help Global Nexus to protect its trademark, intangible assets and copyrights of its digital medias and educational contents while expanding franchise networks globally.
